Class Descriptions
CVY ALL LEVELS VINYASA – Cathy Valentine
This all-levels Vinyasa Yoga class synchronizes breath with movement which helps the student develop a greater sense of self-awareness, balance, and harmony. This class will emphasize smoothly flowing movements guided by the breath. This class is appropriate for all levels of yoga. The instructor will offer modifications for level 1 students as well as more challenging poses for advanced students.
CVY MINDFUL VINYASA -Cathy Valentine
This is a moderate paced Vinyasa class, suitable for all levels. Each class is unique, combining detailed cueing of the postures with an exploration into the energetics of yoga (Chakras, Nadis, Doshas). Mindfulness practices are emphasized throughout the sequences to build inner awareness. The teaching approach is “user friendly and hands on” which allows for both, the very beginner and the more advanced student, to be challenged.
CVY JOURNEY FLOW – Cathy Valentine
This is a moderate pace, Vinyasa class suitable for all levels. Eastern philosophy, spirituality and anatomy are all weaved skillfully into dynamic flow sequences. This class takes you on a journey through the self to the SELF. This class is appropriate for all levels of yoga students who have some experience with yoga. The instructor will offer modifications for level 1 students as well as more challenging poses for advanced students.
CVY ZEN SLOW FLOW – Cathy Valentine
This class is a slow paced, highly modified Vinyasa class suitable for all levels. The emphasis is on creating a meditative flow and relaxed mindset. Breathing, Meditation and longer relaxation techniques are offered, creating an environment for introspection and self-study.
CVY YIN YOGA – Cathy Valentine
All levels, floor-based posture class that focuses on lengthening the muscles surrounding the hips, pelvis, and lower back. Students typically hold these postures for 3-10 minutes per side in order to lengthen the connective tissue that surrounds the joints and increase its elasticity. The essence of Yin yoga is stillness and surrender which helps to restore energy and calm the nervous system. During the longer held postures, introspection and self-study allow students to find insight and answers to life’s deeper questions, creating transformation and liberation.

Self-myofascial Release is an easy, targeted, and drug-free self-treatment method that can provide immediate and long-lasting pain relief. SMR techniques with RAD Roller tools can improve posture, mobility, stability, range of motion, blood flow, nerve function, and the immune system.
YOGA FOR RESILIENCE - Nieda Tice
A basic yoga class w/ a focus on strengthening awareness to release stress and regulate emotion through mindful movement and conscious breathing practices.
QI GONG - Paty Masson
This practice typically involves moving meditation, coordinating slow-flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm meditative state of mind.
SOFT YOGA FLOW - Paty Masson
This gentle yoga class focuses on soft stretches and slow vinyasas to help practitioners in their journey of awareness, It helps you regulate emotions in a calmed way. It contemplates sound healing and guided meditations to reset your day and spark some joy in your life. It is suitable for all levels.
RHYTHMIC FLOW YOGA– Paty Masson
This yoga class gets you moving and grooving to some Latino music. Get creative with your yoga practice and enjoy the flow of movement with beautiful music.
GENTLE YOGA FLOW – Karen Reisdorf
Gentle yoga with slow mindful transitions. Each class incorporates sound healing a contemplation and/or energetic theme. Great for someone new to yoga or wanting to turn more inward.
SLOW FLOW YOGA - Fran Hrapsky

MEDITATION FOR EVERYONE - MELINDA ADAMS
Sudasi Melinda sees meditation as a mental, emotional, and spiritual practice that helps to create balance in the body, mind, and spirit through a focused and dedicated practice of stillness and gratitude. Throughout the on-going series, she will facilitate an exploration of various meditation techniques (seated, visual, moving, mantra, walking, etc.) to help you find one that works for you. The class will include assistance on dealing with distractions, suggestions on setting up a personal practice, and how to fit it into a busy modern American life.

The basic concept of meditation is that it is a practice that connects the mind and the body. Its purpose is to help increase both physical and mental peace and calm, which also helps you to learn how to live more fully in the present.
ZEN BARRE - Roxy Nino
Zen Barre® follows along the principles of barre, yoga, and Pilates with an emphasis on ballet and strength training. The class designed by The Zen Barre® provides a challenging and unique workout designed to sculpt and strengthen your entire body as well as increase flexibility. This class will provide the ultimate workout using a combination of barre and pilates moves connecting with the mind, body, spirit philosophies of yoga. During class you will experience a feeling of grounding and calming. You will learn to connect with your breath using proper alignment to develop the body you dream of.
Essential Oils are used during class.
VINYASA FLOW – Sonja Smith
Vinyasa Flow yoga emphasizes the sequential movement between postures, coordinated with and guided by deliberate breath. The Vinyasa practice becomes a moving meditation that creates strength, freedom and fluidity in the body and mind.
RESTORATIVE YOGA – Ruth Hein
Restorative yoga is suitable for practitioners of all levels. By definition, restorative yoga is a restful practice that holds yoga poses (asanas) for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. With the use of props, for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly.
YOGA FOR BEGINNERS – Ruth Hein
A class designed for beginners, but great for all levels. Learning the basics of poses (asanas,) as you flow through sun or moon salutations, and other various vinyasas.

MAT PILATES - Susan Tomaselli
One of the most popular forms of Pilates, mat Pilates, is a kind of exercise that does not require any equipment and you just need a mat to practice it. Mat Pilates is considered more effective than the other types of Pilartes as it requires you to use just your body weight to increase core strength and build muscles without any fancy machines. Mat Pilates includes movements like core exercises, and planks and may include the use of extra accessories like stretching bands, sticks, dumbbells, exercise balls, etc. This basic form of Pilates is a great choice for beginners who wish to include Pilates in their daily regimen.
KUNDALINI YOGA - Traci Grzywacz
Kundalini Yoga is a practice that incorporates specific kriyas and meditation aimed at raising the kundalini energy. The practices also help prepare the body physically and spiritually for the intensity of this energy. Each kundalini class begins with a meditation chant and is followed up by a warmup for the spine. The main part of the class is the kriyas, which combine postures and breathing techniques and end with sound, meditation, and relaxation.

Begin your weekend doing a Fun Flow with Fran. Using upbeat music and having more active and fluid flows, it’ll feel more like dancing than doing a traditional yoga class. All levels.
STRETCH & STRENGTHEN – Roxy Nino
Stretch and strengthen your body through a variety of postures. Through stretching and strengthening poses you will lengthen and build muscles to create a stronger and leaner body. All levels.

CHILDREN'S YOGA - Janine DeLauder & Jill Stackhouse
This Children’s Yoga class offered by Zentral Station is designed for children ages 3 and up. The multi-age class specializes in upbeat and fun music, mindfulness, movement, breathing techniques, games, yoga poses and stretching, and much more! Children will get the chance to move and play, as well as express themselves. This class also includes opportunities for social-emotional learning and traditional yoga methods to give children the tools to develop their own practice and guide them to mindfulness in their everyday lives.
ASANA TO ZEN - MELINDA DANHAUSER
Get to know the postures, the Sanskrit names, the breath work, and all things associated with a yoga class from Asana (posture) to Zen (savasana.). Great class for those new to yoga, but also informative to those who have been practicing for a while.
